DESCRIPTION:The Community Bank is hosting our annual Free Community Shred Day on Saturday\, April 15th.  Community members look forward to this event to help them aid in the fight against Identity Theft and fraud.  New this year  Muskingum Iron and Metal is collaborating with The Community Bank to offer free electronics (e-waste) recycling.  "We are proud to partner with Muskingum Iron and Metal this year!  Offering these free services fits ideally with our mission to give back to our communities and will positively impact our environment\," said Michael R. Steen\, President and CEO.\n\n \n\nThe Community Bank's Free Community Shred Day will be Saturday\, April 15th from 9am to 12noon at our Downtown Zanesville Banking Office located at 113 N. Fifth Street. \n\n \n\nMuskingum Iron and Metal are able to accept e-waste only.  They will not accept any type of monitors or televisions.  Community members are responsible for the removal of sensitive data from hard drives and other storage media before recycling.  There is no limit on how much e-waste recycling community members bring.  Muskingum Iron and Metal will accept personal computers\, laptops\, servers\, routers\, modems/switches\, telephones\, cell phones\, printers\, fax machines\, copiers\, speakers\, stereos/VCRs/radios\, remotes\, keyboards\, mice\, all wire & cords\, rechargeable batteries\, docking stations\, LCD screens (from computers)\, cable/satellite boxes\, and DVRs.\n\n \n\nIdentity Theft and fraud are a rational fear for individuals and businesses.  By simply shredding old tax records\, insurance records\, bank statements\, cancelled checks\, health records\, financial documents\, legal documents\, and all other sensitive documents you can help stop identity thieves in their tracks.  We encourage community members to bring up to 5 boxes (approximately 100 pounds) of your unwanted paperwork to be destroyed safely and securely free of charge.
